With the river 7' below the house, and the forcast calling for a rise of almost 10 more feet, we decided it was time to get everything up off the floor and hope that the river doesn't invite itself in. We also decided that with everything stacked up, we would head to higher ground, a call from the county's emergency management department recommending that we evacuate sealed the deal. The river is supposed to crest at 1am. We'll head back down to the river next year to see how things look. Many thanks to everyone who has checked to see how we are doing!
